The United Methodist Women

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the church.  The UMW meets the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m.

The United Methodist Men

The mission of the United Methodist Men is to provide opportunities for individual and corporate spiritual growth for all men of AUMC through education, lay ministry, service and fellowship programs and activities. All men are invited to join in this creative fellowship seeking to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually, and to seek daily His will.  The UMM meet the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m.

The Friendship Club

The Friendship Club is a social and service group for senior women.  Age is not an issue, and all women are welcome to join the group which meets on Mondays.  The gatherings alternate between regular club meetings and dominoes tournament days.  In addition to fellowship, the club supports Calvary through service at dinners and other special projects.  The club also designs and creates unique crafts.  Club meetings begin at 12:00 noon, and on dominoes days at 10:00 a.m.  Check the church calendar for specific dates.

Emmaus Accountability Groups

Calvary is part of the Southern Maryland Emmaus Community.  Members of the congregation who have been on an Emmaus weekend gather weekly for a time of fellowship and spiritual renewal. You do not need to have completed an Emmaus weekend to be a part of this time. All are welcome.  The men's accountability group meets Mondays at 7:15 a.m. at the church.  The women meet Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. at Panera's Bread.  If you would like to learn more about The Walk to Emmaus, contact the church office.

Grace-full Dancers - Liturgical Dance Ministry

Calvary's Liturgical Dance Team, Grace-Full, is accepting New members ages Jr. High and up.  Contact Joanne Olsen or Pat Brennan for more information.

Joyful Noise - Gospel Outreach Ministry

Joyful Noise is part of Calvary's Creative & Performing Arts Ministry.  We're better than ever, and performing throughout the tri-county area during the year.  This gospel outreach group is open to everyone who loves to praise the Lord in song.  Don't' wait for an invitation, come on out Friday evenings at 7:00 in the fellowship hall.  Contact  Pat Brennan for additional information.  Check the church calendar for upcoming events.

The Calvary Players

The Calvary Players are part of our Creative & Performing Arts Ministry.  Each year they present a major theatrical production as a fundraising activity.  Additional drama and music performances throughout the year  also involve the Players.  Directed by Pat Brennan, actors and actresses of all ages are invited to be a part of this drama ministry.  This year's production will be the musical comedy Peace in the Valley.
